A survey by the UN Global Compact and Accenture found that 87% of CEOs worldwide see the SDGs as a chance to innovate and create sustainable value, with 70% viewing them as a solid framework for their sustainability efforts. This consensus is turning into action, as evidenced by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s (WBCSD) "Reporting Matters" study, showing over 50 member companies actively reporting on their SDG efforts. While promising, this marks just the start of fully integrating the SDGs into private sector strategies.
