Where Should Our Focus Be?

2024 is coming, are you ready?

Did somebody say it’s less than 4 weeks left to the holiday season!?

As the end of year draws to a close, Leaders are lining up to book in their Strategy + Leadership days for 2024 as February comes fast!

We thought we’d share some of the common questions we’re hearing as we plan for what’s next...

➡️How do we prepare for 2024 in world of cost cutting, contrasts and contradictions?

➡️Our people are feeling tired, how do we keep momentum going?

➡️How do we sustain our impact programs (ESG) with inflation pressure?

➡️What will geo-political forces have install for us?

Leading with Heart in a World of Challenges

According to Gartner.com, 76% of HR leaders say their managers are overwhelmed by the growth of their job responsibilities. And 73% say their leaders and managers aren’t equipped to lead change.

So, how do we get ready for a year filled with both significant challenges and exciting opportunities?

Here are our thoughts and practical strategies.

💙 Balancing Cost-Cutting with Visionary Leadership To balance cost-cutting with our vision, we're leveraging digital tools like cloud-based project management software (e.g., Asana or Trello) for efficient task tracking, and virtual communication platforms (e.g., Zoom or Microsoft Teams) to reduce travel costs. These tools have helped us, and our clients increase productivity without large investments.

💙Addressing Employee Fatigue with Compassion and Innovation We've seen positive results from initiatives like 'Wellness Wednesdays.' This simple yet effective concept offers employees an afternoon off each month, significantly boosting morale and energy. It shows our commitment to addressing fatigue with understanding and flexibility.

💙Sustaining ESG Initiatives Amidst Inflation In response to inflation, we've refocused our ESG efforts on impactful yet financially feasible projects. A great example is a local urban gardening project, where employees volunteer to create green spaces in urban areas. This initiative not only fosters community engagement but also positively impacts the local environment.

💙 Navigating Geo-Political Uncertainties Diversifying a supplier base, for us, means expanding our network to include suppliers from different geographical and economic backgrounds. For instance, if a primary supplier is in a geopolitically sensitive area, we also engage with suppliers in more stable regions. This has also been a great opportunity for the “Support Local” movement to re-submerge. Why not use this as an opportunity to engage a more conscious approach to supply chain using responsible sourcing certifications like: Social Traders Australia and BCorp as a compass when looking into new suppliers.

As we embark on this journey through 2024, let's embrace these challenges as opportunities to lead with heart, live with purpose, find our flow, and be impactful. Together, we can evolve from being lost to found, creating a world that resonates with our vision of humanized work.

Revitalising 2024 Strategic Planning with Joy and Creativity

Say goodbye to the old, rigid ways and hello to a blend of mindfulness and play. This new approach not only brightens our sessions but also resonates deeply with our ethos of 'Leading with Heart' and 'Finding Flow.'

Unlocking Creativity and Collaboration Play isn't just for kids – it's a key to adult creativity and collaboration. Integrating fun activities into strategic planning fosters innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.

In a Harvard Business Review study, 97% of 10,000 senior executives highlighted strategic thinking as crucial for organizational success, emphasizing the need for interpretation, challenging, alignment, and learning. Key to these elements is a leader's awareness of various factors influencing strategic plans, from market data to competitor and stakeholder reactions.

A Path to Clarity and Focus Mindfulness transforms strategic sessions, enabling leaders to be present, clear-headed, and innovative, setting the stage for groundbreaking ideas.

A Brighter, Lighter 2024 Embracing mindfulness and play in strategic planning paves the way for a joyful, engaged, and innovative 2024, where we lead with heart and find our flow.
